Never deleted — filed and kept forever

These get moved to a tidy 0/ label (out of your inbox) but are never deleted:

Filed, then cleared after a while

Lower-value mail is filed too, then deleted only after a generous window — so old clutter clears itself, but nothing disappears suddenly:

• Healthcarekept 5 years, then deleted
• Travelkept 2 years, then deleted
• Subscriptionskept 1 year, then deleted

When it's not sure, it asks you

If EmailChamp can't confidently categorize a sender, it won't guess — it puts them in Your decisions on the preview screen for you to choose. And once you decide, it remembers that sender forever— you won't be asked again.

Always reversible

Nothing touches your Gmail until you review the full plan and click Apply (you can even download the audit as an Excel file first — a summary of what happens and why, plus every email's decision). And anything deleted goes to Trash — Gmail keeps it recoverable for 30 days.

As little AI as possible

EmailChamp is engineered to use the minimum AI it can get away with. Fast, predictable rules decide mostof your mail — the AI is only asked to read what the rules can't decide, and it is never allowed to delete anything on its own. That discipline is why the price stays small, and the energy footprint with it.

About the “0/” labels

Filed mail goes under labels that start with 0/ — like 0/Financial or 0/Travel. The 0/ is just a trick to make them sort to the topof your Gmail sidebar so they're easy to find.

Tip for a clutter-free inbox: in Gmail go to Settings → Labels and, for each 0/ label, switch “Show in message list” to hide. Your filed mail stays perfectly organized under the labels — just tucked out of your main inbox view.
